The BFG

The BFG is a great book, and I hope you are enjoying reading it.
Let's talk about it a bit.  What genre do you think it falls into?
Why do you think the author has the BFG jumble up his words so much?
Do you think the way he uses language is funny?  Can you figure out
what words or phrases he is trying to use?
The BFG frequently uses idioms.  An idiom is a type of figurative language, and also a type of simile or metaphor. What idioms can you find?
